Built on our race-proven 2.5” shock platform, the Factory Race Series 2.5 Podium RC2 shocks are designed to be stronger, lighter and make your RZR XP1000 handle better in every way.
The XP1000 and XP1000 Turbo are extremely capable machines, but we felt the stock suspension can be significantly improved if you plan to race, ride dunes, or blast across the desert.
First, we addressed bottom-out control without sacrificing ride comfort. We switched to a true dual-stage spring set with adjustable crossover rings to keep a softer ride through the initial part of the stroke for comfort and traction, then run on the stiffer second stage to support the car as it pushes deeper in the travel to absorb big hits and landing off whoops. We combined the dual-stage springs with a bottom-out cup in the top of the shock that engages a second piston at the last few 25% of the suspension travel to dramatically increase the compression damping to catch the vehicle before it can slam through the last of the travel.
The second area of focus was improving the handling dynamics of the XP1000. The shocks were tuned for less body roll in sweeping corners and rapid direction changes. This gives the car a planted feeling to inspire confidence and improves traction. The RC2 adjusters on the piggy back reservoirs have wide-range high- and low-speed compression settings to dial in the exact amount of compression control for the specific loads you are carrying, and to compensate for how that load is balanced front to rear in the car. Wide range adjustable rebound settings give you the control to work with a broad range of spring rates and preload settings to maximize tire grip by keeping your wheels firmly planted on the dirt.
Beyond the extra capability you gain after bolting on a set of FOX Factory Race Series 2.5 Podium RC2 shocks, you’ll have peace of mind knowing that they’re ruggedly built with hard-anodized aluminum bodies and reservoirs that resist corrosion, 7/8-inch hard chromed shafts for smooth operation and longer seal life, and are fully rebuildable if you ever damage a part or want to get them custom-valved for a specific riding application.
