Years of development on Thuren Boogie Bump Load Control System(LCS) is finally coming to a close! This is still an early release, as we are still fine tuning options and gathering more detailed data when it comes to calculating sag, but the bulk of the work is done.
Easy quick change between full travel Boogie mode, with our standard shorter Boogie Bumps, and then back to heavy load Work-Mode in a minute, with the longer Boogie Bump Load Control(LC).
Here is an example of our Boogie Bump LC's weight control effect. With 1800lbs in the bed of the truck and only our Dual-Rate coils, the bed of the truck sagged 3.5 inch from ride height. With the same setup and the Boogie Bump LCs installed, that sag was only 1.5 inches, and the ride is still wonderful and well supported! In this noted scenario there was right about 1/2" air-gap when installing the Boogie Bump LC, so once the axle air-gap was closed with weight, the Boogie Bump LC only compressed about 1.0".
If you are familiar with our standard Boogie Bumps, you know that these are not just basic rubber bump stops. Check the short video to watch them move. These are very active Urethane Foam bump stops which function as an important part of the suspension system. Our new longer Boogie Bump Load Control(LC) is the same material but about 25% more dense, to help handle constant heavy load, while retaining perfect memory.
