AEV’s Utility Rope is the multi-tool of vehicle recovery gear. It can be used as a 10’ winch extension line, a tree saver, a rock line, a rigging bridle (works perfectly with AEV’s front bumper) and even as a means to attaching recovery gear to non-standard attachment points such as a roll cage or b-pillar.
The AEV Utility Rope is meant to be used in a variety of situations, so it will inevitably see some serious abuse. In order to make sure this rope can take whatever you throw at it, we manufactured it out of ultra-strong and ultra-durable Dyneema® SK78 synthetic fiber with a double layer of chafe protection to protect against sharp edges and rough surfaces. AEV Rope Strap included for easy and convenient storage.
Part Number | Dimensions | Minimum Breaking Strength (MBS) | Working Load Limit (WLL) |
80808006AA | 3/8″ x 10′ | 19,600 LBS (8,890 KG) | 4,900 LBS (2,222 KG) |
80808025AA | 1/2″ x 10′ | 34,300 LBS (15,558 KG) | 8,575 LBS (3,972 KG) |
Please Note: Minimum Breaking Strength (MBS) is the minimum force necessary to cause a recovery device to break or fail. Working Load Limit (WLL) is the recommended maximum force a recovery device is intended to safely support, when the force is applied in-line and through the centerline of the device. The WLL is calculated by dividing the Minimum Breaking Strength (MBS) by a safety factor that is generally around 4-to-1. For example, the AEV Snatch Block has an MBS of 52,000 LBS, so when divided by a safety factory of 4-to-1, the WLL becomes 13,000 LBS.
