However, as horsepower demands increase, the factory turbocharger can become restrictive, increasing exhaust drive pressure and exhaust gas temperatures (EGTs).
The DDP Motorsports 63/64 Hooligan Billet VGT Turbocharger is designed to improve airflow and performance while retaining the factory-style VGT functionality that makes these trucks so versatile.
Featuring a 63mm billet compressor wheel, 64mm exhaust turbine wheel, upgraded nitrided nozzle ring, and upgraded self-calibrating actuator, the Hooligan offers a drop-in performance upgrade without sacrificing everyday drivability.
With appropriate supporting modifications and tuning, this turbocharger can support applications targeting up to approximately 650 rear-wheel horsepower (RWHP).

The upgraded 63mm billet compressor wheel provides increased airflow capability compared with the factory configuration, supporting higher horsepower applications while maintaining responsive street performance.
64mm Exhaust Turbine Wheel
The larger 64mm exhaust turbine improves exhaust flow and helps reduce restriction and drive pressure, particularly under higher loads. This can also help manage EGTs in properly configured applications.
Upgraded Nitrided Nozzle Ring
Soot buildup, extreme exhaust temperatures, and wear are common challenges in variable geometry turbochargers. Over time, carbon deposits can restrict VGT vane movement, forcing the actuator to work harder and potentially contributing to premature failure.
